Joyce Ophoro Sianga, the founder of Jojo African Designs, a brand she established in 2020, Dodoma Tanzania. She started her journey by designing clothes from home and taking them to local tailors to bring her ideas to life. With a deep passion for fashion and design, she put her heart into every piece she created.

In 2021, she bought her first sewing machine and hired her first employee, which allowed her to take her business to the next level. She found a dedicated space to operate from, and by 2022, hwe business had grown significantly, with more customers and additional equipment to meet the increasing demand.

A major highlight in her career came in 2023 when she was honored with the Designer of the Year award (regional category) at the Swahili Fashion Week and Awards. This recognition was a dream come true for her, as she had always envisioned showcasing her designs on such a prestigious platform. Designing is truly my passion, and I approach each project with love and dedication. I am grateful to God for the progress I have made, and I deeply appreciate Swahili Fashion Week for helping me achieve one of my biggest dreams being recognized in the fashion industry, says Joyce.

Through Jojo African Designs, she continues to pursue her creative vision, and she is excited to keep growing and making an impact in the world of fashion.
